Jaime Correa-Montalvo, Director , Salesian Missions Office for International Programs
Jaime Correa-Montalvo oversees the global development efforts of Salesian Missions. An experienced practitioner in international development with more than 30 years international experience, Correa-Montalvo currently coordinates all major Salesian Mission special initiatives worldwide including reconstruction efforts in Haiti, jobs skills training for refugees and displaced persons in Colombia and India, and health education programs which affect hundreds of thousands of youth in selected countries in Africa and South America.. His specialties include development economics, food aid policy, food security, humanitarian assistance, rural and urban development, displaced and refugee populations, agribusiness development, international trade, institution building, technical vocational training and diplomacy.  Correa-Montalvo traveled through Haiti extensively before the earthquake, in addition to recent trips there. Edson Timana, Haiti Relief & Reconstruction Program Manager
Edson Timana, who has recently traveled to Haiti, is an economist with a focus on emergency response for the global development program of Salesian Missions. Timana is currently focused on Salesian Mission efforts to rebuild Haiti, and his responsibilities include managing all internal agreements and financial reports for Salesian Missions work and partnerships with other agencies around the world. This includes the tracking and accountability for all financial and in-kind donations to help reconstruct the 15 Salesian Mission buildings destroyed in the quake, as well as to provide services and programs to the thousands of internally displaced people Salesian Missions currently serves in Haiti.

Neill Holland, International Development Associate
Neill Holland, who has recently traveled to Haiti, managed the emergency relief and reconstruction database for Salesian Missions efforts in Haiti, updating partners regarding needs to rebuild facilities and ensure services resumed.  In addition, his work centers on Salesian Missions efforts to assist 300 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees in southern India, with job training skills and job placement support in partnership with the US Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration. Holland is an accomplished journalist, and his work has appeared in The New York Times, The Daily Beast and National Geographic Adventure.  He was named the John Muir Gold Award winner at the Yosemite Film Festival in 2009 for his work on an adventure program with Reel World Productions.

Hendrix Pineda, Program Officer & Financial Officer
Hendrix Pineda, who has recently returned from Haiti, is responsible for the monitoring and analyzing of grant expenditures of programs. As a program officer for foundations and corporations, Pineda works with Salesian Missions projects supported by foundation and corporation funding.  This work includes supporting requests from Salesian Missions offices around the world, as well as major initiatives developed by the Salesian Missions Office for International Programs. As a financial officer and analyst, Pineda monitors grant expenditures from government and private donors, as well as audits the recipient’s expenditures to ensure effective use of funding. Pineda has more than 10 years of experience with financial institutions.

Jessica O’Connor, Property & Logistics Officer
Most recently, Jessica O’Connor has been involved in Haiti reconstruction efforts and has coordinated a total of 59 containers carrying relief supplies.  Additionally, O’Connor is responsible for the logistical efforts required to support the global development program of Salesian Missions.  In this role, O’Connor works with private donors, nongovernmental organizations, and the US General Services Administration (GSA) to acquire in-kind donations, as well as assesses the needs of global Salesian Missions work.  In 2009, goods totaling $8 million were shipped to 16 different countries.  O’Connor previously served as an associate for the Salesian Lay Missioners, where she coordinated activities of 25 volunteers in seven countries.  She also was a Salesian lay missioner in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
